For the 2019 D&AD competition I submitted an idea for John Lewis and Partners' new campaign; promoting the idea of 'thoughtful giving' throughout the year through a focus on their gift experiences. With the outcome needing to be illustration or animation focused, I curated a narrative around a friend who gave 'thoughtful' gifts throughout the year, which unknowingly led up to one last big gift at the end. I presented this story by creating a flip book and stop motion animation at 12fps. Considering other areas the new campaign would affect - such as window displays (spatial design), till roles and in-store merchandise - I also created illustrations for tote bags and designed a set for the front store display.
